It is important to care of your eyes and follow good eye health habits.

The digital eye strain risk increases as people spend more time in front of screens. Here are some things you must do to take care of your eyes:

• Make sure to take breaks from screens every so often. Follow the 20-20-20 rule, which says to take a break every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.

• Change your screen’s brightness, contrast, and font size to ease eye strain.

• Blinking often helps keep your eyes moist, which makes them less dry and irritated.

• Wear anti-glare glasses to protect your eyes, if you work in bright light or in front of a computer screen.

• Eye health can be maintained with a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids.

• No matter the time of year, you should always wear sunglasses.

• Lastly, make an appointment for an ophthalmologist to check your eyes.
